To get the sharpest cutting edge:- File from the inside edge of the cutter, toward the outside edge.
To file the individual cutters: - Position yourself on one side of the saw bar and file the cutters on the opposite side of the chain. A round file sharpens in one direction only—on the stroke away from you.
To sharpen the cutting corner: - Hold the file horizontally and follow the angle of the cutting corner as you lightly but firmly push the file. Then lift the file up to return to the starting position and push it again.

Question 1: will this fit an echo cs3000?
This chain will not work on your CS3000 saw. It has a link count of 44 while your saw has a link count of 45. This means that the teeth of your sprocket will not mesh properly. Your saw also requires a .050 inch wide track on the bar, also known as the gauge.
Question 2: Will this chain work with an Echo 280E?
This will work for your Echo 280E provided your Gauge on your bar is .043
Question 3: Will this chain fit a stihl ms120c battery powered saw 12 bar?
It may. It will fit most 12 inch bars. The only thing to look at is the sprocket at the pole end of the saw. This is for Stihl and Echo pole saws with 44 links and a .043" track. Compare the specs in your saw manual to the specs on the bottom edge of the package for this chain. Hope that helps.
