by Jeremy HIPA 01 Dec 2022 0 Comments

This blog is a step-by-step instructions for replacing the trimmer head on a string trimmer. The most common reasons for replacing the trimmer head is if it is damaged.

Replacement

Before you replace the trimmer head on your string trimmer, you need to first remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting.
Step 1: Use channel lock pliers to secure the dust cap and a strap wrench to help unthread the old trimmer head by rotating it counterclockwise. Be careful not to cut yourself on the cutting blade.
Step 2: Before you install the new trimmer head, you need to make sure the dust cap is in place.
Step 3: Now thread the new trimmer head clockwise onto the drive shaft and use the strap wrench to tighten.
Withe the repair completed, your string trimmer should be ready for use.
